ABOUT
Education and Research in the Information Society (ERIS) is an international computer science conference with range of interrelated topics:
- E-learning and education support systems,
- Web technologies and cloud computing,
- Social networks and security of the Web environment,
- Serious games and virtual reality,
- User modelling and user-adaptive systems,
- Natural language processing and information retrieval,
- Big data management and analysis,
- Knowledge discovery from data and text,
- Innovative systems for e-governance, e-health and e-libraries,
- Approaches for addressing cultural diversity and users with special needs,
- Social and legal aspects of the information society
Also two satellite workshops complement the diversity of topics covered:
- Workshop of DISTILL project: Digital Transformation in Culture and Arts,
- Workshop: Recent Advances in Information Theory, Practice and Education

14th edition of the international ERIS conference will take place in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from September 27 to 28, 2021.

December 28, 2021. The proceedings of the conference is published in CEUR Workshop Proceedings – Volume 3061.
September 16, 2021. We are pleased to announce that the first winner of Barnev Grant in 2021 is Karina Agafonova, which is a student in Master program “Data, Culture, and Visualization” at ITMO University, St. Petersburg, Russia.
